Family Coffee House Night to Benefit CPC Youth

Calling all CPC’ers!
Bring out your family(or even just yourself!) November 22nd at 7pm in the main sanctuary for an evening of worship, performances, coffee, and baked goods!  All in benefit in partnering with our deacons for Operation Christmas Child and our CPC Youth Missions.  We will have performances from many of our talented CPC members, special guest performances, worship, and more!
What should I expect from the evening?
The evening will have worship and other performances (music, poetry, etc.) in an open mic/coffeehouse style over the course of two hours.  Expect some downtime to sit at a table and enjoy conversation, coffee, baked goods, and fellowship with other members of the church.  Think of a fun evening with the family relaxing and enjoy good company while supporting a great cause!  Kids can also join in on the fun by packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.
What is Operation Christmas Child and CPC Youth Missions?
Operation Christmas Child(OCC) is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.
CPC Youth Missions, over the past four years, has been sending Middle and High School students to North Carolina and Peru for relief work, gospel proclamation, and training in evangelism.  We have partnered with Thumbprint Ministries in the Carolina Mountains (https://www.thumbprintministries.com/) and the Missionary Pablo Cenepo Torres in Trujillo, Peru (https://centrobiblicotrujillo.webnode.es/) for this important work for the Gospel in both these regions.
What are we going to do to help?
Our goal is to try and pack 80 Christmas Child boxes for the Coffeehouse evening!  In partnering with the work of our Deacons, we hope to make this year the biggest year CPC has ever had in regards to box making for OCC!
We are also selling Coffee(Made by former barista Tom Belliveau) and Baked goods made by our very own CPC Youth Families!  All proceeds will benefit CPC Youth Missions.
There will also be Ministry Spotlights made for various other ministries in the church, highlighting special opportunities to give back during the holiday season.
What do I need to bring for box packing?

Nothing!  CPC will provide everything that is needed to fill a box.  If you’d really like to make your box special, Just simply bring 1 “Wow” toy item to pack if you’d like (https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/what-goes-in-my-shoebox-suggestions/)  CPC Youth will be providing the shoebox, school supplies, clothing, and other small toys to fill the box.  You will also have the opportunity to write a letter to the person you are sending the gift to as well!
I have other questions/Want to help volunteer!
Please contact John Song at [email protected] for any other questions and concerns, or if you’d like to help out with the event!
