Free English Classes
Tuesdays at 7:00 PM, September – May
We are very happy to welcome you to the English Language Ministry of Columbia Presbyterian Church.
We know that life in America can be difficult if you do not speak English well. To help you we have English classes for adults on Tuesday nights from September through May. We currently have five levels of classes (beginner to advanced). We use the same curriculum that community colleges use. Our teachers are well-trained volunteers and are honored to teach you.
You may register for these classes on any Tuesday night we have classes. The classes are free, but we do ask that you pay for a textbook which is $20 (the book is yours to keep, write in, and has a practice CD-ROM). We also have free childcare for babies and children through age 10.
Who are we?
All teachers and directors are Christians. We are all unpaid volunteer workers. We do this because of God’s love for all people. We believe God wants us to help you learn to speak English better and learn about American culture so that your experience in the United States will be easier and more enjoyable. We consider it a privilege to be your friends.
You are welcome to attend other events and activities at Columbia Presbyterian Church.
