Our desire is to offer an interactive time for children to study God’s Word together, ask questions, sing songs, and grow in the spiritual disciplines that lead to a lifetime of walking with Jesus. It is a time for children to grow in their friendships and community with each other as they pray for one another and the world around them.
This year our children will be studying the New City Catechism. The catechism is an opportunity for the children to build a framework that helps them to make sense of the complex situations and concepts they encounter in their life by viewing them through the lens of Scripture.
Classes for grades Preschool 4 through 5th grade meet from 10:00-10:45 a.m. The fall semester will be held from September 20 through November 22. The spring semester will begin in the new year. Traditionally, we hold classes from September through May.
Preschool-4 years old through 5th Grade:
Weather permitting, class is being held outside on the back patio of the Potter’s House (the office building located behind the Ministry Center). If weather becomes a factor, we will be meeting in Room 117 which is in the lower level of the Ministry Center.
As our programs reopen for the first time since March, the children will meet as one group in one location. Normally, the children meet within their grade levels in various classrooms, and we would also offer nursery and classes for 2’s and 3’s. For now, we rejoice that we can begin to meet again with our older children and pray that we can expand our ministry to meet the needs of our littlest ones soon.
