Children’s Worship

Children’s Worship

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth”
(Psalm 100:1)

Sunday morning is a time of worship for all ages as we join together in prayer, confession, and lifting praise to our Savior.  With that purpose in mind, we offer several opportunities for children.

Children are invited to join the worship service and enjoy this time with their family. Allowing our little ones to sit beside parents–watching, observing, and entering into these moments–are important steps in their own personal life of faith.

Families may also choose to have their children ages 4-2nd grade attend Children’s Worship.  The purpose of Children’s Worship is to model the format of the corporate worship service, helping small ones to make the transition from nursery into the service.

Children’s Worship is offered during the 10:30AM worship service. Children who participate in Children’s Worship first worship with their parents, and just before Worship in Giving they are dismissed to go downstairs to the Youth Room (Room 118/120) where we follow an order of worship similar to the adults’ worship:

  • Opening Prayer
  • Offering
  • Sing-Along
  • Bible Lesson
  • Memory Verse
  • Prayer Time (for children’s own praises or requests)
  • Songs/Hymns

The children remain in Children’s Worship until the end of the service when parents then come to Room 118/120 to pick them up.

We use the “Teach Me To Worship” curriculum supplemented by questions and answers from the First Catechism: Teaching Children Bible Truths (Westminster Catechism).
