Deacons’ 2020 Year End Report to CPC Congregation
Through your generous support, CPC deacons distributed more than $62,000 in 2020 and worked with individuals and families to show the love of Jesus. Here are some of the ways your financial support ministered to hundreds of individuals in our congregation, community, denomination and the world:
CPC Body: – Deacon Support to members of CPC:
- Supported multiple families with meals and other blessings through Meals Ministry
- Set-Up / Take Down Ministry / Greeting Ministry
- Provided Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners with Multiple CPC families
- Gave financial assistance for many critical needs during Covid
- Provided memoriam gifts on behalf of CPC members
- Gave Baby Bible story books and other gifts to Multiple CPC newborns
- Assisted several single moms and widows
- Supported individuals for the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace program
Community – Support for the following Groups / Organizations:
- Laurel Pregnancy Center
- Columbia Pregnancy Center – multiple work projects during relocation
- Christian Services of Howard County
- Grass Roots – Housing Assistance for single moms
- Route 1 Shelter, where over 50 CPC members volunteer
- Support (food, gas, lodging) to local community individuals seeking assistance
- Community Action of Howard County
- Local Pastors – Help with Medical Expenses
- Salaam Center in Baltimore
- Columbia Community Care – CPC members volunteered
- CPC Youth local mission support
- Blessings in a Backpack – Howard County school program helping kids in need
PCA Denomination and World:
- Supported Our Local PCA
- World Outreach in Africa- Hines Uganda Ministries
- CPC members supporting 9 children in Uganda
- Collected 148 Operation Christmas Child boxes
- Supported Samaritan’s Purse
In addition to financial assistance, the Deacons actively support many CPC ministries and seek opportunities to support our members with labors of love, prayer and spiritual guidance.
