OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

CPC Marketplace is a private Facebook group for the purpose of selling household items, giveaways, job opportunities, housing requests, advice on home projects, etc.  If you are not a member of Facebook, the office can post there for you with your contact information.  Join here.

Amazon Smile: The Amazon Smile program is set up for you to shop on Amazon as you usually do, with the only difference that you must start with the website address smile.amazon.com instead of www.amazon.com. When you use Amazon Smile, be sure to designate Columbia Presbyterian Church in Columbia, MD (NOT the one in MS = Mississippi!) as your nonprofit charity, and the church will receive 0.5 percent of your purchase from the Amazon Smile Foundation.  Once you’ve first chosen CPC as your designated charity, it will be selected automatically every time you begin with smile.amazon.com. It’s that simple!

Post Abortive Healing   Classes begin June 24th at the Columbia Pregnancy Center: If you experienced an abortion and would like to talk with other women who have had an abortion experience, the Columbia Pregnancy Center will start a new session of Transforming Your Story on June 24th. This program is a guided scripture-based reflection on the mercy of God and encourages women on a path to forgiveness and healing. You can e-mail info @columbia-pregnancy.org or call or text 410-730-3223 to find out more information or to register.  To learn more about Post Abortion Recovery click here for signs and symptoms. Sometimes unresolved grief can lead to depression, addiction, and even self-harm. If that could be you, or someone you love, contact the Columbia Pregnancy Center today. We are here to provide compassionate, non-judgmental support.

Grant Writer Needed.  Baltimore Antioch Leadership Movement (BALM) is looking for a volunteer with grant writing experience to help apply for several grants that would further the work of BALM in Baltimore.  If you have the time, desire, and experience in grant writing and are interested please contact Bill Sciannella.
