At a recent press conference, Gov. Hogan presented an update about the “Roadmap to Recovery” [view], providing particular details associated with Stage One of that plan. Stage One includes places of worship.
CPC leaders have been considering when and how we will return to corporate worship and facility use. The governor’s announcement gives us concrete information to consider as we discern our next steps.
What does this mean for CPC?
There are no immediate changes at this time. For this coming Sunday, we will live stream on our YouTube channel as we have been doing for the previous eight weeks [view/subscribe].
We wanted you to know that we are aware of Gov. Hogan’s remarks. We will be waiting to hear what direction Howard County might provide. We will be continuing our discussions with elders, deacons, and staff to make a wise decision for our CPC members and guests. Then, we will communicate as soon as we have more concrete steps beyond this. Please, pray for us.
As I listened to Gov. Hogan, I grew in excitement about that future day when we will be together again. I eagerly await it! My heart agrees with the Apostles Paul and John:
But since we were torn away from you, brothers, for a short time,
in person not in heart, we endeavored the more eagerly and with great desire to see you face to face,” (1 Thes. 2:17)
Though I have much to write to you, I would rather not use paper and ink. Instead I hope to come to you and talk face to face,
so that our joy may be complete.” (2 John 12)
