Bev Johnston then shared a message of HOPE and encouragement, inspiring us to look around with fresh eyes for opportunities to build relationships and share the Gospel (and the reason for our hope) with the people in our lives. She had heartening examples from her own life. She mentioned an excellent book, Beyond the Shadowlands, and shared a motto that hangs on the wall in the Johnston home: “Live your life for living things.” Listen to Bev’s talk above. Bev has been married to Eric Johnston, our church administrator, for 39 years, and they have been members of CPC for 36 years. Bev runs her own business, TimeSaver Advantage.
Susan Niezelski was our gracious emcee, giving out door prizes and keeping everyone at ease, as she has done for many years. The lovely table centerpieces were crafted by Katrina Morton. In addition, the women in attendance brought what amounted to a dozen boxes full of canned goods and other useful items for Grassroots Crisis Intervention center. Thanks be to God!
