Our Vision
Merge is a group of young adults and professionals that desire to grow in their faith as a community of believers and an important part of the CPC congregation. We know that in the years after college, it can be difficult to feel connected to the church and to build a group of friends that encourage us to walk true to God's calling on our lives. Perhaps you are unsure of what God's call is exactly and what that means for you personally. You've come to the right place. Many of us are single or dating, some of us are married or are engaged, and we come from a lot of different backgrounds and walks of life. What we all have in common, however, is the belief that the church community should be family! Won't you be a part of that? At Merge, you'll be encouraged to make strong Christian friendships while serving the church body and growing in your faith in Jesus as your Savior and Lord.
Who We Are
Merge is a diverse group of post-college adults. Most of us are beginning careers, pursuing graduate studies, or exploring what might come next. At the same time, Merge is an inclusive group and we welcome the participation of people from all stages of life! Like real families, with fathers and mothers, siblings, aunts, uncles, and grandparents, we're just one interdependent part of the church body.
What We Do
Our goal is to be brothers and sisters in Christ to one another, enjoying each other's company, sharing interests and activities, celebrating, sympathizing, learning, and growing together. We have a Tuesday night Bible study, frequent Sunday afternoon lunches together, and have done lots of fun activities together as well. Activities have included hiking, laser tag, skeet shooting, salsa dancing, white water rafting, hitting DC to see the Cherry Blossoms in bloom, and more!
